Erratum

In the article "The Growth Hormone/Insulin-Like Growth Factor-I Axis Hormones and Bone Markers in Elite Athletes in Response to a Maximum Exercise Test" by C. Ehrnborg, K. H. W. Lange, R. Dall, J. S. Christiansen, P.-A. Lundberg, R. C. Baxter, M. A. Boroujerdi, B.-A. Bengtsson, M.-L. Healey, C. Pentecost, S. Longobardi, R. Napoli and T. Rosén on behalf of the GH-2000 Study Group (The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism 88:394–401, 2003) the authors report the following errors in the published paper. In the abstract, it should have been stated, "The mean time to peak value for total GH and GH 22kDa was significantly shorter in females than in males" [rather than males than in females]. In Fig. 1, the total GH values for men are incorrect; the correct values are those included in Table 2. Despite these lower values for males, the significance levels in the original figure are correct. For IGFBP-2 in women, there was no significant difference at end of exercise and a significant difference (P < 0.05) at +15 min. In Fig. 2, for P-I-CP in women, there was no significant difference at +30 min and a significant difference (P < 0.05) at +120 min. In Table 2, values for IGFBP-3 and ALS in women were inversed in the +30-min column. There was no significant difference in IGFBP-3 at +30 min [rather than P < 0.01]. The authors regret the errors.
