Erratum

In the article "Quantitative Assessment of Promoter Methylation Profiles in Thyroid Neoplasms" by M. O. Hoque, E. Rosenbaum, W. H. Westra, M. Xing, P. Ladenson, M. A. Zeiger, D. Sidransky, and C. B. Umbricht (The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism90:4011–4018, 2005), the authors report the following error. One of the methylation markers used was incompletely identified. The marker was referred to in its abbreviated form to as "TGF-beta", where in fact the correct symbol is TFGBR2 (transforming growth factor, beta receptor II). By mistake primers and probe sequences of these genes were omitted from Table 1 as well. The correct primers and probe sequences are indicated in the table below. The authors regret any confusion this may have caused.
