MANUEL DE LA LASTRA and CARMEN LLADOS

Laboratorio de Endocrinología, Departmento de Fisiología y Embriología, Universidad Catolica de Chile, Casilla 114-D Santiago, Chile

The adenohypophyseal content of immunoreactive LH was measured in pregnant, nonpregnant and post-abortion women by means of solid phase radioimmunoassay. The LH content was significantly lower in pregnant and post-abortion patients than in non-pregnant women. In pregnant women the lowest values were observed towards the end of gestation.

Partially supported by Grant 720-0384 of Ford Foundation.
