Endocrinology Section of the Medical Service and Endocrine and Polypeptide Laboratories, Veterans Administration Hospital and Department of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine New Orleans, Louisiana Hospital General, Centro Medico Nacional IMSS, Mexico, D.F. Department of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis, Missouri Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill University Montreal, Canada Department of Medicine, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry Rochester, New York

Plasma prolactin levels were not consistently changed by administration of a dose of synthetic LH-RH which released LH and, to a lesser extent, FSH in 19 normal men. Pretreatment with large doses of estrogen, progesterone, or their combination for three days did not affect the release of prolactin.
